What can I do if strong/stormy wind disturbs the communication?

CEECOACH PLUS recognizes human speech and only transmits when you speak. This is also called Voice Activity Detection (VAD). Only during this time can background noise such as strong wind be transmitted. If this is disturbing in your application scenario (e.g. when sailing or surfing), then a wind blocker can help. You can find them in every common store that offers headset microphones or on our website. What is a windblocker? You often see them on microphones used for outdoor recordings on TV.

Note: In our webshop you can find the Bluetooth® headset Jabra Steel. This headset already has 2 windblockers included. The wind protection with this headset has been rated as very effective by our customers.

Can I use CEECOACH 1 or 2 with CEECOACH PLUS in a group?

No, with CEECOACH PLUS up to 16 participants of a group can communicate with each other. This function prevents compatibility with CEECOACH 1 or 2.

Do all devices in a CEECOACH PLUS group need the same software version?

In order to always be able to use all functions in a group, we strongly recommend using the same software version on all devices in a group. In general, it is our goal that communication works with devices of different software versions. However, we cannot guarantee this for every update. Especially if a new release offers extensive feature enhancements.

How can I activate or deactivate the key lock on the CEECOACH PLUS?

You can activate or deactivate the key lock by pressing and holding the “+” and “-” keys simultaneously until the LEDs at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock in the light ring flash simultaneously.

Why can my CEECOACH PLUS no longer be operated (controlled) with the keys?

If the LEDS on 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock flash simultaneously in the illuminated ring, then the key lock is activated on the CEECOACH Plus. Deactivate the key lock by pressing the “+” and “-” keys simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.

Is a connection between my smartphone and CEECOACH PLUS possible?

Connecting your smartphone with CEECOACH PLUS is not possible with the current release. The function is on our roadmap.

How do I activate the pairing mode of the CEECOACH PLUS?

Press the two outer function keys on the side of your CEECOACH PLUS simultaneously until the light ring rotates white or green. Now perform the same procedure on every other device you want to pair. You have max. 5 seconds from device to device to put them all in the same group. It is easiest if you and your group all trigger the procedure at the same time.

Why are not all the devices I wanted to pair connected with each other?

Possible causes are: It took you more than 5 seconds from one device to another to initiate the pairing process or the devices were too far apart. Restart the pairing process on all CEECOACH PLUS devices. Make sure that there are less than 5 seconds from device to device when starting the pairing mode and that the distance between the devices is between 0.5 m and 10 m. It is possible that one CEECOACH PLUS has a different software status that is not compatible with others.

What happens when group members are out of radio range?

If a member of your group loses radio contact, the connection is automatically re-established when this member returns within the range of your group. The CEECOACH PLUS will give you a hint for this in each case. If two or more members lose your group, they remain connected and can talk to each other. After returning to the group, these members must turn their CEECOACH PLUS off/on again to return to your group. Alternatively, all participants can re-trigger the pairing process.

Example: In a bike group, one team member breaks down and another participant stays with him. In that case, these two team members continue to have conversation contact. After returning to the whole group, they have to switch their device off/on again to return to the whole group.

Adding additional devices to an existing group does not work?

If you want to add another device to your group, you have to start the pairing process for all devices. Adding an additional device to an existing group is on our roadmap.

Can I listen to music with the CEECOACH PLUS?

As it is not possible to connect your smartphone to the CEECOACH PLUS with the current release, you will not be able to listen to music. The function to connect a smartphone is on our roadmap.

Can I connect a speaker to the CEECOACH PLUS to share with the audience?

Yes, you can connect a corded powered speaker to a CEECOACH PLUS via the 3.5 mm jack connector to share with an audience. The CEECOACH PLUS connected to the speaker must be a participant within your communication group.

Tip: Mute the CEECOACH PLUS connected to the speaker to prevent possible interference, such as an echo for the other participants.

How do I clean my CEECOACH PLUS?

Clean your CEECOACH PLUS with lukewarm water, in case of heavy dirt add a mild detergent. Please note that the CEECOACH PLUS must be cleaned with tap water after contact with salt water.

How do I pair a Bluetooth® headset with CEECOACH PLUS?

Put your Bluetooth® headset into pairing mode, if necessary refer to the manual of your headset for this procedure. Now press the function button on your CEECOACH PLUS (button without elevation on the side) until the light ring rotates blue. Now both devices will pair within 30 seconds.

Note: You do not need to pair your headset via the Bluetooth® settings in your cell phone, but only directly with the CEECOACH PLUS.

What do I need to know when pairing with Apple Airpods or Airpods Pro?

Make sure that no other devices (e.g. your iPhone) are in range of the Airpods before you start pairing with CEECOACH PLUS. Alternatively, you can turn off Bluetooth® on the other devices or turn off the device before starting the pairing process with CEECOACH PLUS. After pairing Airpods with CEECOACH PLUS, you can continue to use your other devices with Airpods as usual.

Although the Airpods are paired with my CEECOACH PLUS, there is no voice passing through?

If you use multiple devices with your Airpods, the Airpods may not automatically switch to your CEECOACH PLUS. In this case, briefly press the function button (button without elevation) on your CEECOACH PLUS. Now you should get a direct voice connection again.

Can I use my Airpods with just one of the Airpods/ buds?

Yes, but just in case, leave the Airpod case open until you have voice pass-through.

How can I pair my Airpods with an Apple device afterwards?

The Airpods (Pro) can be paired again with your Apple iPhone in addition to the CEECOACH PLUS. To do this, simply trigger the normal pairing process with your smartphone. If you want to use your Airpods with the CEECOACH PLUS again, you have to “ignore” your Airpods in the Bluetooth® menu of your smartphone to ensure operation.

How do I avoid speech interference in my Bluetooth® headset?

Preferably wear the Bluetooth® headset on the same side of your body as your CEECOACH PLUS. If you have your headset on/in your left ear, wear the CEECOACH PLUS also on the left side on your belt, arm or in your left jersey pocket.

Can I use a different headset than the one supplied?

The wired and wireless Bluetooth® headsets recommended by peiker CEE have been extensively tested and ensure good voice quality. Many other commercially available headsets can be used with the CEECOACH PLUS, but peiker CEE cannot guarantee consistently good voice quality.

Can I use my CEECOACH PLUS while diving?

No, your CEECOACH PLUS is not suitable for diving. Peiker CEE has developed the CEECOACH PLUS according to the IP67 standard. This means that it is protected against splashing water and falling into the water (e.g. by falling off a surfboard).
